Are you getting ready?

Hey, Hopefully you're still in ski shape, but if not, it is NOW time to do something about it.
You want to have the best ski season that you can, right? Physical fitness is the number one thing that anyone can do to improve their skiing or riding. Whether you are a snowboarder or skier, you will have a better season with good ski training. Sports training doesn't have to be monotonous, break it up cycling one day, run on the next.
Remember that the core muscles are the important ones when it come to skiing and riding. So work your abs at least every other day. You will thank me for it this coming ski season.

Ski fitness should be fun, after all getting in shape to do the sport that we love should be fun and very rewarding. The first day out on the snow should feel as good as it did mid season last year. Get is shape to ride. Yeah of course no matter how fit you are your equipment will put a few stresses on your feet and legs that all the training won't prepare you for, but you will get beyond that very quickly when you are in top shape for the ski and snowboard season.

There are many good resources that you can follow to help you get into ski and ride shape, http://snowboarding.about.com/od/fitness/tp/exercises.htm and another good one http://www.stoneclinic.com/preski.htm Check them out and give yourself all the advantages of being in top ski fitness.

Thank you Joe Kennedy from another Joe Kennedy.

I'm getting psyched for ski season too, but for me that means looking forward to "Cascade Concrete", not the powder I'm sure you get.
